A shop offering refurbished furniture and vintage home decor near downtown now will be open every week.

Seasoned Style is at 824 W. 10th St. and opened in the summer of 2023.

Owner Christi Petersen said customers in Sioux Falls had trouble grasping the idea of an occasional store that was open only once a month and had asked for more regular operating hours.

She’s now open every Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., plus the second Saturday of the month during the same hours.

Merchandise is “thoughtfully sourced with authenticity in mind,” Petersen said.

“I prioritize vintage, sustainable and handmade goods over commercial wholesale items, ensuring each piece contributes to a unique and personalized home. By embracing these choices, we create beautiful spaces while promoting a planet-friendly lifestyle, reducing the impact of manufacturing pollution.”

While her followers responded positively to the more regular hours, “like many other small businesses in our community, foot traffic has been slower than anticipated,” she said.

She also has developed a website for online sales, including a blog featuring decorating tips, the history of vintage decor and behind-the-scenes stories from her sourcing trips.

“Additionally, I’m inviting other small businesses to join me for pop-up sales and workshops,” she said.

“This summer, I’ll also serve as a pickup site for a CSA flower subscription, adding another exciting element to the experience.”
