Home along wooded greenway tops sales report at $2 million

Feb. 22, 2022

The most expensive residential sale for the week of Jan. 31 was almost $2 million for a home in the Arbor’s Edge neighborhood in east Sioux Falls.

The 5,900-square-foot house was built in 2017. It has six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The home has four fireplaces, including one in the master suite and one on the covered deck. The backyard is adjacent to a greenway filled with mature trees that overlooks the Big Sioux River. There’s a four-stall main garage and a two-stall lower garage with a car lift.

Two other homes sold for $1 million or more in that week. A 5,300-square-foot home on 20 acres north of Sioux Falls sold for $1.5 million. A 5,100-square-foot home on 2 acres in a rural development on the east side of Sioux Falls sold for $1 million.

Our weekly feature sorts through property transfer records in Minnehaha and Lincoln counties to find the 10 most expensive residential sales.

The property transfer information comes from the Minnehaha County Director of Equalization Office and the Lincoln County Register of Deeds Office. Addresses are for Sioux Falls unless noted.
