Here’s a look inside the new Crooked Pint Ale House

A restaurant specializing in stuffed burgers opens today near Elmwood Golf Course.

Crooked Pint Ale House is attached to the new Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites. It’s the first South Dakota location for chain, which has six restaurants in Minnesota.

Hiring has gone well, according to management, but there are still some open positions.

Crooked Pint is a full-service restaurant known for its Juicy Lucy burger but with an extensive menu that includes sandwiches, salads, tacos and pot pies. There’s also a large bourbon and scotch list as well as 32 beers on tap.

A retractable roof and windows will open up to the golf course in nicer weather, allowing golfers to drive up for a break while on the course.

Hours are 11 a.m. to midnight Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to midnight  Sunday.

Happy hour features many food and drink specials and runs from 3 to 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close Thursday through Saturday.

The plan is to add breakfast once the Holiday Inn opens. Construction on the 116-room hotel is progressing, and the goal is to be open in February.
