What brought you to Sioux Falls?

I accepted a high school math teacher position at Lincoln High School.

What keeps you in Sioux Falls?

Career advancement opportunities and my church community.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

I enjoy the challenge of credit risk analytics, and my job is a good blend of independent and collaborative work.

How did you get connected to your industry?

I was looking to leave my teaching career but still use my mathematics degree. I started learning a popular querying language on my own and learned the rest once I was hired.

Describe your workplace in three words.

Proactive, rewarding, relational.

What is something someone might be surprised to learn about you?

I’m passionate about the arts! I love attending musicals at the Washington Pavilion and creating fine art for myself and my family.

What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?

The Banquet’s Project: S.O.S., Supply Our Students.

What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?

I’d always wanted a cat cafe, and that dream was answered in 2023 with The Cattitude Cafe downtown!
