What brought you to Sioux Falls?

Job opportunities brought my husband and myself to Sioux Falls. We both grew up in Beresford together, attended college together in Brookings and moved to the Sioux Falls area for more job possibilities for both of us!

What keeps you in Sioux Falls?

To us, Sioux Falls gives us the best of both worlds. It gives us a “big city” in terms of businesses and entertainment that are available, with the “small-town” feeling from knowing our neighbors or being close to my husband’s family farm.

What’s your favorite thing about your job?

My favorite thing about my job is the people! I love meeting and getting to know all my clients while working on their projects. I truly can inject happiness and beauty into their home, which makes my job very rewarding.

How did you get connected to your industry?

I have many family members that work at Showplace. Showplace is employee-owned with another location in Beresford that my mom, dad, uncle and cousin all work at.

Describe your workplace in three words.

Creative, evolving and supportive.

What is something someone might be surprised to learn about you?

I enjoy archery practice with my husband and kids. My husband is a passionate hunter, which has led to him teaching myself, my son, 5, and my daughter, 3. We enjoy going to 3D target ranges or 3D shoots to help him keep up his skills and allow us all to spend time together.

What’s your favorite way to give back to your community?

My favorite way to give back to my community is by donating children’s items to either my local daycare or my hometown food drive.

What’s one business you’d like to see in Sioux Falls that isn’t here now?

Raising Canes or Trader Joe’s.😊
