Drybar Sioux Falls is ready to celebrate its return to Sioux Falls under new franchise ownership.

The location at Empire Place, 4123 W. 41st St., will hold a grand opening event from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2.

“We’re locally based and just excited to be here,” manager Kenzie Lauck said. “We’re starting to get busy, which is great, and we have a lot planned for the grand opening.”

More than 10 vendors will be setting up at Drybar, offering services, coupons and specials. Charcuterie, snacks and beverages will be served, and visitors can go home with everything from a lip flip to a tiny tattoo.

Drybar Sioux Falls also is running a major giveaway through social media: the chance to win a prize package from local businesses valued at more than $1,500. A winner will be announced at the grand opening, along with the chance to enter multiple smaller giveaways.

No hair appointments will be taken at Drybar from 4 to 8 p.m. around the event, but you’ll have a chance to sign up for a membership and receive a free gift.

“We do blowouts only — no cuts, no color, just blowouts,” Lauck said. “It’s been going well since we opened two weeks ago, and we’re excited to be here. We are still looking for stylists to join our team, so encourage anyone who is interested to connect with us.”
