Downtown Lewis will include Flyboy Donuts, Eat Fit Go

July 23, 2018

Doughnut lovers, downtown is getting even better for you.

Same thing for those who prefer healthy alternatives.

When Lewis Drug opens Aug. 30, it will include a selection of products from Flyboy Donuts as well as to-go meals from Eat Fit Go.

“From our customer feedback, something people said they would like is to be able to quickly pick up something on their way to and from the office,” said Bob Meyer, Lewis senior vice president of merchandise and marketing.

“So they can stop in and get a box of donuts and coffee because we’ll have Flyboy coffee, or they can get a yogurt parfait or salad or another quick lunch alternative item. We’re trying to go with healthy and local as much as possible.”

Flyboy owner Ben Duenwald said he has always wanted to have an outlet downtown.

“Flyboy’s nostalgic, vintage feel matches perfectly with the new Lewis downtown, which will have an old town drugstore feel. We were excited,” he said.

“We plan to offer a wide variety of our favorite doughnuts, long johns and rolls. We will also include new and seasonal treats and be flexible depending on what the downtown crowd likes. Flyboy Coffee will also be available to purchase fresh brewed and also in K-cups and ground beans to take to brew at home.”

Customers also can order online and pick up at the Lewis location, he said.

The Lewis location also includes a Sanford Health clinic, and the upstairs of the building is an expanded patio for neighboring bar and restaurant PAve.

Lewis also has set its hours to start

Store: Monday to Friday 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Pharmacy: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and closed Sunday.
