Three new storefronts open at The Empire Mall

There are several recent new additions at The Empire Mall, including the first South Dakota location for women’s retailer Evereve.

The store opened Thursday and is located across from Red Robin.

Evereve’s store is a collection of brands that include 7 For All Mankind, Paige, Kut From the Kloth, Spanx, Free People, Hudson, Sanctuary and Michael Stars.

“We are grateful for the warm welcome we’ve already been receiving in Sioux Falls,” said Michael Tamte, co-Founder and CEO of Evereve, in a statement. “The pent-up demand for Evereve is a perfect way to enter a new market, and our team of trained stylists is ready to service customers.”

The grand opening runs Sept. 5-8 and includes 15 percent off all merchandise.

Evereve has 86 stores in 26 states and plans to open at least 10 stores in the next year.

G&M Beauty Plus, a locally owned shop specializing in hair products, also has opened at The Empire Mall.

It’s located next to Yankee Candle and across from Forever 21 and offers wigs, weaves, braids, crochets and accessories as well as a wide variety of hair care products.

The business also specializes in braiding for any type of hair.

G&M Beauty Plus’ other location is on East 10th Street. Felicia Myers started the business in 2008.

And there’s a tenant for the space that used to be the Dairy Queen, Orange Julius and Karmelkorn shop in the old Sears wing.

Boki Gelato and Cafe has expanded there after opening in the mall as a kiosk in center court a few years ago. Along with the signature gelato in 14 flavors, the menu includes hotdogs with chili, popcorn, caramel corn and lemonade. Boki Gelato also has a downtown location at Jones421.
