When you have cataracts, the glare of oncoming headlights at night can be blinding.

And that’s not all Rumi Weigel was experiencing. The 67-year-old Elk Point resident also was being told repeatedly by her husband that clothes she was certain were navy were actually black. In April, Rumi’s surgeon corrected her right eye on a Wednesday and her left the following day.

Three months’ post-procedure, Rumi’s new vision has made her work at the Union County Courthouse easier and given her more confidence moving through her day.
