Dollar Tree is open, and Planet Fitness soon will be as part of the redevelopment of an east-side retail center.

The building on East 10th Street has gone from a grocery store to an auto detail shop and now three retailers, as the discount store and fitness center join Pizza Ranch.

Dollar Tree is stocked with grocery, home, gift and other merchandise.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Dollar Tree has seven stores open in Sioux Falls.

Planet Fitness plans to open Saturday, marking its second location in the city.

The 17,500-square-foot fitness center includes cardio machines and strength equipment, the 30-Minute Express Circuit, numerous televisions and locker rooms with day lockers and showers.

The club includes 72 pieces of cardio equipment, 56 pieces of strength equipment, three massage chairs, two HydroMassage beds, two HydroMassage loungers, five tanning rooms and one red light therapy room.

“We are excited to offer a second Judgement Free fitness experience in the Sioux Falls community,” Will Delaney, director of marketing at Baseline Fitness, a Planet Fitness franchise division, said in a statement. “At Planet Fitness, we offer an affordable membership for a high-quality fitness center and welcome anyone at any fitness level into our friendly, comfortable and nonintimidating environment.”

Membership options include one that allows members to bring a guest every day at no additional cost, as well as access to more than 2,400 Planet Fitness locations in all 50 states.

Hours for the new Sioux Falls location are the same as the west side, opening at 5 a.m. on Monday and then staying open until 9 p.m. on Friday, with hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Pizza Ranch also made improvements earlier this year with an expanded FunZone Arcade and party room.

The building is owned by Rod Woelfel, who completed a similar project for Harbor Freight Tools and Dollar Tree in a renovated former grocery store on West 12th Street about six years ago.
