Just in time for the warm weather this week, Dairy Queen is open at Lake Lorraine.

It’s a relocation of a nearby store for the DQ Grill & Chill, which now is at 2200 S. Marion Road.

There’s a double drive-thru, plus patio seating and a dining room.

The location is holding open interviews during store hours, which are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Dairy Queen is the first of several food and beverage retailers opening soon at Lake Lorraine.

Chick N Max hasn’t announced an opening date but appears to be getting close, with signs up and previously shared plans to target this week for opening.

Starbucks, which is next to DQ Grill & Chill, also is making progress on construction and is expected to open in mid-November.

Baking up a Storm, a locally owned bakery, opened earlier this month inside the new Blu on Lorraine apartment building.

New businesses, housing getting ready to open at Lake Lorraine
