Commercial furniture business leases Bridgestone building space

July 25, 2018

Commercial furniture business Pigott is moving into part of the Bridgestone building at 11th Street and Minnesota Avenue

The Iowa-based company is a partner of manufacturer Herman Miller and moved into the market when the territory in South Dakota opened up earlier this year.

It offers furnishings for businesses, health care, education and government “as well as amazing, modern classics products that can be used for the home,” said Tami Anderson, vice president of sales and marketing.

“We are known for not only high-quality, creative furnishings and design but also for helping our customers positively impact their bottom line through the aspirational possibilities of space. We believe that space matters and can have an impact on people, performance and achieving business results.”

Other services include interior design, space planning, project management, move planning and communication, warehousing, installation, asset and inventory management, and move services.

There are eight full-time employees working out of temporary office space and a permanent warehouse.

The showroom at 301 S. Minnesota Ave. is scheduled to open in the fall. The 3,100-square-foot space most recently was Conversation Piece. It will allow Pigott to set up a “living office” and to show current products and design concepts.

“We love Sioux Falls,” Anderson said. “The business and construction climate is strong, we have been welcomed in the community, and we are excited to continue to grow and bring our best to our new and existing customers. There is a real sense of community here, which is unique.”
