The Guatemalan restaurant is leasing the former Fuddruckers in the Park Place retail center at 3101 W. 41st St. Jacky’s Express Guatemalan Style Restaurant will feature a quick-serve menu similar to Jacky’s Burrito Express on West 12th Street.

The bank has been operating out of temporary office space in southwest Sioux Falls. Holmes Murphy & Associates will be on the third floor of the building near Fourth and Phillips. The independent insurance brokerage’s office is at 5120 S. Solberg Ave. Both businesses plan to move into the building later this year.

Seasonal pop-up shop Art Moms has started its spring market, and it’s planning to be open on certain days for the rest of the year. The locally made shop kept the lease for holiday market space in Park Place Center at 3101 W. 41st St. Art Moms will be open from Thursday through Sunday the last two weekends of eacj month.

Part gift shop, part gallery and fully artist-driven is the vision behind the newest addition to downtown Sioux Falls. Rose and Eugene Presents opened in April on the first floor of The Cascade at 701 N. Phillips Ave. It’s open daily.

Sioux Falls-based Maguire Iron, a water tank and tower construction and maintenance company, is modifying its name with an eye toward the future. The company now will be known simply as Maguire, part of a broader rebrand that also includes a revised logo. By dropping the “Iron,” the goal is to simplify the name and position the company for future strategic growth, its leaders said.

A mixed-use building with 175 studio through three-bedroom apartments and retail space on the first floor will be built along 12th Street between First and Second avenues. The One2 is being developed by Green Acre Real Estate and Lloyd Cos. It’s expected to open in early 2025.

The owners of a restaurant coming to a historic former grocery at Ninth and Grange have a name for their venture. Perch is a partnership of building owner Alex Halbach, local restaurateurs Jordan Taylor and Barry Putzke — the owners of Bread & Circus Sandwich Kitchen, Pizza Cheeks and En Place Catering — and grocery veteran Patrick Sayler. It will be open for breakfast and lunch, hopefully sometime this summer.

They offer their signature Thai-inspired Street Chicken and pulled pork and roast beef sandwiches along with desserts.

One of the new food trucks in Sioux Falls this season features traditional Lao recipes from owner Moukda Dara’s mom, Sisouvanh.
