Here’s a look at recent changes in the business landscape in the Sioux Falls area.

The newly remodeled Aerie store at The Empire Mall is getting a new neighbor: Offline, a sub-brand of Aerie selling activewear and accessories. The plan is to open before Thanksgiving.

Spoke-N-Sport now has two locations to serve Sioux Falls. The new bicycle shop is at 3401 S. Cliff Ave., adjacent to the city’s bike trail. It’s open Wednesday through Sunday.

Hy-Vee has added a counter-service version of its Wahlburgers restaurant at the 26th Street and Marion Road grocery store. Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The menu features signature burgers, homestyle sides, salads, sandwiches, shakes and a full-service bar including beer, wine and cocktails.

Co-op Architecture has moved into the new building it helped design. The firm is in Railyard Flats at 302 E. Eighth St. It’s also a partner in the ownership group for the building, which also includes retail spaces and apartments. Co-op had been in the Rock Island Building at 300 N. Phillips Ave.

Downtown’s newest cocktail bar, Highball, has opened in the new Railyard Flats at 302 E. Eighth St. It’s the latest offering from The Carpenter Bar Group, which also owns The Treasury. In addition to cocktail drinks, beer and wine are served. A snack menu is available, and offerings will expand. Highball opens Tuesday through Saturday at 3 p.m.

Online retailer Revive Boutique has added a mobile unit. Owner Lindsay Kinzer is booking events and hopes to set a schedule of parking at certain businesses. Revive focuses on women sizes small through 3X with simple, comfortable styles, she said, including gift items and accessories.

Posh Paws Parlour has grown from being a home-based business into a storefront. Owner Leah Jones moved into a new location at 2001 S. Minnesota Ave. In addition to grooming services, Posh Paws offers boarding.

Art class and painting party business Wine & Canvas at 1412 W. 41st St. is closing. Owners Jesse and Sarah Callahan started the business nine years ago and said they are at a different place in life today. The final day is Sept. 25.

Starbucks is coming to the Westown Marketplace development at 41st and Ellis. The project is being developed by Cresten Capital Holdings and will be a standalone building with a drive-thru. It’s planned to open in late spring or early summer 2022.

A hot dog cart has opened in Brandon. Fred’s Franks, owned by Donna Cutrer and Mike Blewett, serves hot dogs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays, except for Wednesday when it’s open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Customers can pick their toppings or order specialty hot dogs. Fred’s Franks is based in the parking lot of Kingbird Coffee Shop at 509 N. Splitrock Blvd. It’s also available for public and private events.

Tea has a new ax-throwing business that features other games such as antler ring toss. In addition to three ax-throwing lanes at Valkyrie and the Beast, 315 N. Heritage Parkway, there are three virtual reality rooms. It’s open every day except for Sunday when it’s available for private parties and events. Customers must be 12 or older.

ClubHouse Hotel & Suites will start a 44-room expansion next spring. The 100-room hotel owned by The Ramkota Companies opened in 2004 at 2320 S. Louise Ave. The three-story addition will connect to the original property with a concourse. It also will include a fitness center and two boardrooms.
