Children’s clothing boutique opens in Harrisburg

April 3, 2019

A children’s clothing boutique has opened in Harrisburg.

Liv’s Locker is using part of the extra space in the new home of Lava’s Coffee & Cafe at 305 W. Willow St.

The boutique is owned by Robyn Winge and Sable McKay, who are special education assistants at Harrisburg South Middle School.

Clothing sizes for boys and girls range from 2T to 16, and “it’s affordable prices, for sure,” Winge said.

“We’re buying from different platforms at this point, checking out the quality and what people like,” she said. “We’ve been getting new things in weekly.”

In addition to clothing, Liv’s Locker carries jewelry and accessories such as sunglasses and bags. There’s also room decor, including picture frames made by McKay’s mother, Loni Smithback. The “jack of all trades” also makes painted plates, crocheted items and does custom orders, McKay said.

The business partners intend to expand hours once summer break begins. For now, Liv’s Locker is open from 4 to 8 p.m. weekdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

“The merchandise is out for people to browse even when we’re not open,” Winge said. Customers, however, have to come back during business hours to make purchases.

They hope to expand into their own storefront someday.
