Downtown’s Books n Brewz Pizzeria has closed for good.

The business at 201 N. Weber Ave. opened two years ago, combining wood-fired pizza, beer, wine and books for all ages and also held events, including live music, karaoke and paranormal forums.

Last year, owner Angela Kull and Travis Graham thought they would have to close before the one-year mark because of the pandemic until an investor stepped in, but the hit proved too big.

“We will deeply miss all of our customers that became friends and some like family. We tried everything we could to make it through this pandemic,” they said in a statement.

“The oven has gone cold, the stage has gone dark, and the atmosphere is eerily silent. But we will always have the happy memories of the times spent serving and getting to know all of you. Thank you for everything!”
