Think of a mix of bohemian hippie-inspired fashion with Western flair and a side of bougie — pronounced boo-zhee.

That’s the vibe a Sioux Falls-based online clothing and style company has created with a brand-new brick-and-mortar boutique.

Boho Bougie Style Co. has opened in The Village on Louise shopping center at 57th Street and Louise Avenue.

Owner Heather Lowry said her own unique style inspired the name of her business.

“I tend to lean Western, so I have unique cowboy hats and accessories, but my style changes all the time, so I have a little bit of everything,” she added.

Boho Bougie includes a mix of that style in relaxed, comfortable clothing that can be appropriate for work or play and everything in between.

“It’s women’s clothing for all women no matter their age or size,” Lowry said.

After almost two decades in the furniture industry, Lowry, a mom of two, established the online boutique in February. She loved working with colors, designs and making homes beautiful, but her passion was always in clothes and fashion styling, she said.

Her new store offers its own unique feel, she added.

“It’s truly a style company,” Lowry said. “I want the women to feel good when they come in, and I want to be able to help style them.”

The store will offer free, private styling sessions for women to socialize and browse clothing in a fun, relaxed environment, she said.

If you find and buy something you love, great. If not, she says that’s OK too.

“Styling is a service I genuinely love, so I look forward to offering that for my clients,” she added.

“This has been a work of the heart,” she said. “I’m feeling so unbelievably blessed for the opportunity to have my own business and bring something different to Sioux Falls.”

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and by appointment Monday and Tuesday.
