Board & Brush opens DIY studio

Board & Brush Creative Studio is ready for do-it-yourselfers.
Vonda Shaeffer owns the local franchise of the Wisconsin-based chain, which offers customers the chance to create custom wood signs and other creative projects.
The business is at 1813 S. Marion Road next to Breadsmith.
Other materials used in projects can include glass, chalkboards, canvas pillows, slate and terra cotta pots. The plan is to offer beer and wine as customers craft.
While registration is over for the first workshop Saturday, others are available. An open house will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and a ribbon-cutting will be at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 27.
