The Sioux Falls Regional Airport officially breaks ground on its new parking ramp this week.

The groundbreaking is set for Wednesday, and construction will begin right after that.

Completion of the $63 million project is estimated for October 2024.

It will bring a four-level parking structure with approximately 975 spaces and include a skyway connection from the second level to the main terminal.

While construction is underway, parking in the long-term lot will be limited to about two-thirds of its usual capacity, and no short-term parking will be available.

Travelers are encouraged to use the economy parking lot to the south of the terminal, and the airport will provide a continuous shuttle service to assist travelers in getting to and from the terminal and the lot.
