Feb. 17, 2026
The most expensive residential sale for the week of Jan. 26 was $1.6 million for an acreage north of Sioux Falls.
The property was purchased by the Sioux Falls Development Foundation and eventually will become part of the 200-acre site for the new Smithfield Foods plant. The 2,800-square-foot house was built in 1997 on 2 acres west of the Renner exit on Interstate 29. The ranch walkout has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. There’s also a 4,000-square-foot pole building on the property.
A second home purchased by the Development Foundation also made the top 10 list.
Our weekly feature sorts through property transfer records in Minnehaha and Lincoln counties to find the 10 most expensive residential sales.
The property transfer information comes from the Minnehaha County Director of Equalization Office and the Lincoln County Register of Deeds Office. Addresses are in Sioux Falls unless noted.
