Scott Petersen, the former CEO of LodgeNet, has been named chair of the board of directors for The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society.
Three new members have been elected to the board: the Rev. Linda Norman, chief financial officer and vice president of administration at Mission Investment Fund of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; Helen Melland, former dean of the College of Nursing at Montana State University; and Traci Woolfolk, a Good Samaritan Society administrator for home and community-based services in Fort Worth, Texas.
Furniture Mart USA
Bill Hinks, founder and chairman of the board of Furniture Mart USA, has been named one of nine recipients of Prairie Business magazine’s Leaders & Legacies award. It recognizes executives in the Dakotas and western Minnesota for achievements either recently or over a lifetime of work. Colleagues from across the region nominated individuals for the award based on their leadership and accomplishments while serving as an executive.

Karen DeLange has been named director of operations at Alternative HR. DeLange has been with the company for 10 years as a senior human resources consultant and leadership coach. She is a 25-year veteran of human resources management and has consulted with a variety of businesses, nonprofits and public entities throughout her career. She previously managed her own business.

Chief talent officer Kristin Hoefert-Redlinger has received the Recruiter of the Year Award, recognizing the top talent acquisition leaders in the nation. The award is based on recruitment, retention and the early career success of new financial advisers.
Financial adviser Ross Reitsma will be inducted into the company’s 2021 Forum Group for his commitment and drive to help families and businesses plan for and achieve financial security. This is the first time he has received the Forum honor, which recognizes the top 5 percent of more than 6,000 financial representatives.

Pam McCready is as a commercial services officer. She has 15 years of credit and financial experience, including as a regional credit manager, credit team lead and senior credit analyst at another financial institution in Sioux Falls.
