David’s Bridal to close local store

Sept. 11, 2o25

David’s Bridal in Sioux Falls is closing.

The store at 4004 W. 41st St. has started a going-out-of-business sale, offering 50 percent off the ticketed price.

The final day will be Oct. 26.

“David’s lease expired and decided not to pursue a renewal as this naturally coincides with the business’ strategic pivot and focus on opening new Diamonds and Pearls by David’s retail locations in the coming months and year,” a company spokeswoman said. “Our team is constantly evaluating real estate opportunities across the country and have not made any decisions on future locations in the area at this time, but we encourage our amazing customers to shop and/or find the closest David’s to them at DavidsBridal.com.”

Two years ago, the company was sold after it filed for bankruptcy. The new owner, New York-based Cion Investment Corp. agreed to keep 195 stores open, which was about two-third of the locations at the time.

David’s Bridal also filed for bankruptcy in 2018.
