National partnership brings upgrades to pickleball pub

March 26, 2025

A partnership with a national leader in pickleball equipment is upgrading the offerings at Remedy Pickleball Pub.

The indoor courts, which have been open downtown since January 2024, now feature Joola nets and equipment such as paddles and balls for players who don’t bring their own.

“We’re pleased that a company of that repute and size is thinking of us,” said Remedy Brewing co-founder Tyler Jepperson. “This gets us on the national map.”

As a Joola partnership facility, Remedy will offer a pro shop, which is under construction and should be opening soon, Jepperson said.

“We’ll have apparel, merchandise, paddles, carrying bags,” he said. “It will be akin to a golf pro shop.”

Remedy Pickleball Pub gained 5,000 members in its first year, Jepperson said. Those are the people who have paid the one-time small fee on the CourtReserve app to reserve court times. They range from beginners to pros, he said.

“We’ve seen really fantastic growth and community support,” Jepperson said of the players. The pub offers four regulation-size courts on a professional surface in a converted warehouse that’s next to the brewery and taproom’s back patio at 8th & Railroad Center.

“Right now, you see open play at 5 on some mornings. Most nights, it’s going until 10 p.m.”

Eventually, Remedy Pickleball Pub would like to provide 24/7 access for players.

The pub also hosts tournaments and league play for different skill sets. The midwinter session with 130 spots filled up in the first hour, Jepperson said.

The downtown location doesn’t have room to expand, but Remedy is looking at options to expand elsewhere, he said.
