Nov. 21, 2024
Invictus Pizza Kitchen has a new lunch special. IPK Lunch Duos are $10, available from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Get a piadina, 8-inch single-topping pizza or cheesy garlic sticks and a Caesar salad or side salad. Pay an upcharge for more toppings or for mac-and-cheese instead of a salad. According to the restaurant, piadinas are an Italian flatbread typically prepared in the Romagna historical region of Italy.

Check out the new seasonal menu at PAve featuring new dishes and returning favorites. The downtown bar is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, with the kitchen closing at 9 p.m.

Songbird Kombucha is hosting a pop-up Saturday for Leifstyle Baking, which features small-batch sourdough baked goods. Hours are 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Songbird also is offering 15 percent off growler fills and 10 percent off can purchases that day.

Owner Shania Rozeboom now has room for “Lucille” the coffee truck, roasting space, a retail section, full coffee bar and bakery, and a drive-thru. Rozeboom said her initial dream was to start a bakery, and now she has an opportunity “to share my hidden love for baking with you.” Muffin options will rotate daily. Rainy Day hours are 6:30 to 10 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, 6:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

And here’s some good news for the downtown brewery: Severance received a Brewski Gold Medal for Smoktoberfest in the annual international competition. Twenty-one beers received that level of award, which recognizes “exceptional beers, high recommendation.” If you didn’t get to try it this fall, you’re out of luck – at least for now.

The restaurant, which operates out of the kitchen at The Gaslight Lounge, also has new hours of 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. to midnight Saturday.
