Restaurant Roundup: Heirloom tomato season, new Perch patio, new Myrtle’s Basement
Aug. 22, 2024
Bread & Circus Sandwich Kitchen is embracing tomato season with two heirloom variety featured items that are available through harvest. The Heirloom Burger is a 6-ounce Angus patty with New School American Cheese, local heirloom tomato, house dill pickles and basil aioli on a Look’s Bakehouse brioche bun. The Heirloom Tomato Salad has heirloom tomatoes, charred local sweet corn, shaved local fennel, goat cheese, fresh mint and cardamom yogurt.

Over at Perch, heirloom tomatoes are the highlight of a featured eggs Benedict that you can enjoy on the new patio, which opened last weekend. There’s seating outside for about 30 people now, and more tables and chairs are on backorder.
