Long-awaited beer arrives at new restaurant, craft beer bar

July 12, 2024

Session Ale Works’ dry spell is over.

The west-side restaurant and craft beer bar opened May 10 but couldn’t begin serving beer until today when it received a license from the state.

More than two dozen local, state and regional beers are available on tap. Choices will rotate frequently.

Now, customers will be able to enjoy a pizza with their beer and other menu items. Brick-oven pizzas come in three sizes: 7, 12 and 16 inches.

Other menu items range from appetizers and salads to burgers, sandwiches and tacos.

The restaurant, which seats about 100 people, is at 323 S. Whitewood Circle, near 12th Street and Ellis Road.

A large patio that over looks a private lake will be getting additional furniture and features in the next month or so. Dogs are welcome.

Hours are 11 a.m. to midnight daily. The kitchen closes at 10 p.m., but starting next week, customers still will be able to order pizza after that on Wednesday through Saturday nights.
