When Ryan Quincey’s cousin bought out the original owners of a moving company, Quincey saw an opportunity for a new business.

He’s a first-time business owner from Sioux Falls and recently opened Green Bin kathy ireland.

“My cousin Jeff Quincey ran it out in Arizona for a few years, and it took off,” Quincey said.

Green Bin kathy ireland is an eco-friendly alternative to cardboard boxes available for homeowners and businesses.

As part of growing its national brand, Green Bin formed a partnership with kathy ireland Worldwide and subsequently rebranded.

The bins are preferable to cardboard boxes because they don’t need assembly or tape and aren’t in trouble if it rains, according to information from the company.

“Let’s say you’re moving, I bring your order of bins on the day you requested, and then you do your move,” Quincey said. “After you’ve moved in, I pick up the bins, clean them and get them ready for the next customer.”

Quincey said he works with his fiancee, Micah Tolzin, who runs the social media and helps with deliveries and logistics. Currently, Green Bin kathy ireland is marketing to business customers.

“Unfortunately, the recent flooding has caused many people the need to access boxes,” Quincey said. “Green Bin kathy ireland has had some traction because of this need.”

Quincey said the business works with property management companies and has partnered with Amy Stockberger Real Estate and other real estate agents to get the word out in Sioux Falls.

“We are licensed with all of eastern South Dakota to bring the bins,” Quincey said. “We serve mostly up to Vermillion, Mitchell and Brookings but can go to other close-by states if needed.”

The bins are green commercial plastic and can be ordered online.

“Based on my cousin’s research, we can help people figure out how many bins they may need to order,” Quincey said. ” For example, with a two-bedroom house, you will probably need 40 bins for a week.”

Forty bins for a week would be $150, which includes dollies to move boxes, packing paper and labels.
