605 Running Co. is adding a second Sioux Falls location.

The downtown-based running shop will expand to The Bridges at 57th where it will take over the former Posh Boutique.

Owner Greg Koch said the location is appealing for its proximity to Yankton Trail Park and direct access to the River Greenway system.

“My team and I are thrilled to offer our elevated shopping experience with a new Sioux Falls location,” he said in a statement. “By expanding our footprint, we aim to make our products and services more accessible, further contributing to a culture of health and wellness in our community.”

The new location is expected to open in March.

This year marks a decade in business for 605 Running Co., which began on Phillips Avenue and then moved in late 2022 to the Johnson Building at 225 E. 11th St.

In 2023, 605 Running Co. received the First Impression Retail Award from Experience Sioux Falls and was named one of the 50 Best Running Stores in America at The Running Event in Austin, Texas.

In addition to a niche in offering athletic shoes and apparel with what it calls “an exceptional fit process and extensive product knowledge,” 605 Running Co. organizes seven local races, including the Sioux Falls Half Marathon: Skedaddle, Lucky 7’s and the Gobble Wobble 10K.

Posh Boutique closed at the end of January as owner Alyssa Nix decided to focus on her mobile boutique, The Posh Cowgirl.
