Drybar closes Sioux Falls location as new owner is sought

April 16, 2024

The Sioux Falls Drybar location has closed as its owner looks for a new franchisee.

Sunday was the last day for the location at Empire Place, a retail center in front of The Empire Mall.

The same franchisees also closed their Rapid City location because of what they called unforeseen circumstances.

“We’re grateful to our wonderful team and clients! All memberships have been canceled, and any membership fees processed in April are being refunded,” the business said in a statement.

“The franchisor is working to sell the shops so that they reopen soon. In the meantime, gift cards and saved member benefits can be used at Drybar shops across the country. Our teams had a lot of fun serving up great hair and mimosas, and we’ll cherish the memories.”

Anyone with questions can email [email protected].

Drybar, which is a national salon specializing in blowouts, opened last summer in Sioux Falls. A neighboring business in the retail center, Hawaii Fluid Art, also closed unexpectedly earlier this year.
