A convention for REALTORS® and those connected with the real estate industry is expected to draw hundreds of attendees and is open for registration now.

The Rewriting the REALTOR® Playbook/Convention of the Dakotas is an annual convention shared by North Dakota and South Dakota, hosted this year by the REALTOR® Association of the Sioux Empire and South Dakota REALTORS®. The convention will be Sept. 12-15 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.

“This convention has not been hosted in Sioux Falls for 15 years, and we hope to make this one the best one yet. With REALTORS® coming from South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota and Iowa, we are expecting 600-plus real estate professionals from as close as Sioux Falls to the northwest corner of North Dakota to be in attendance over the week,” said Tara Allen, board president of the REALTOR® Association of the Sioux Empire.

“The four days will have some of the best education from speakers all across the U.S. for attendees, including former NFL player Sam Acho who will deliver the keynote address.

“Outside of the convention’s education, there will be fun events such as wine tasting, a golf tournament, social hours and live music from Elisabeth Hunstad, Too Drunk to Fish and the Mike Riley Band from Nashville, Tennessee. There will be numerous networking opportunities for REATLORS®, sponsors and attendees to grow their business,” Allen said.

Additional speakers include author and coach Chelsea Peitz, who specializes in helping REALTORS® build their social media brand and business best practices. Dianna Kokoszka, former CEO and president of coaching and training for Keller Williams, who also received a presidential appointment to the U.S. Business Advisory Council, will dive into the topic of “who you are becoming.” Best-selling author Mark Given will wrap up the convention with a course on trust-based ethics.

“This convention has a broad reach, from continuing education to networking with peers,” Allen said. “There is opportunity to be a sponsor and put your marketing in front of an audience of over 3,500 REALTORS® who are a part of South Dakota and North Dakota’s total membership and around 600 attendees in person at the convention.”

Non-REALTOR® attendees can take part in the golf outing and wine tasting for an additional fee. The live nightly music, social hours and education are included in the price of the ticket.
