There are new reasons to stop by The Empire Mall, including a new restaurant option and retailers that had temporarily closed.

Thyme Cafe is now open in the food court next to Taco John’s. It’s a locally owned business from Taylor Massey, who plans to continue operating her first location, which is at Signature Flight Support at Joe Foss Field.

The mall cafe includes a build-your-own pasta bar, salads and made-to-order personal pizzas.

Pro Image Sports has reopened under new management, offering an array of sports team apparel and collectibles.

The store is next to Boki Gelato and Express.

And Furniture for Life has expanded into a larger space next to Express and David Jones Fashions after temporarily pausing operation.

It offers premium massage chairs, recliners, kneeling chairs and mattresses.

Different features include zero-gravity recline; 2D, 3D and 4D massage roller mechanisms; and infrared heated elements and rollers.
