‘Zooga’ brings yoga to the Great Plains Zoo

June 25, 2021

It’s the perfect way to start your week with a little zen at the zoo.

Zooga is bringing yoga to the Great Plains Zoo every month this summer, thanks to a partnership with GreatLIFE Golf & Fitness.

“It’s such a fun way for the whole family to do a little yoga in a totally different setting,” said Krista Youngberg, GreatLIFE’s assistant general manager.

“You’re surrounded by monkeys, alligators and camels so it’s practically like a little yoga retreat without ever leaving town.”

Zooga will be held Mondays at 10 a.m. for 45 minutes through August.

It’s $8 per person which includes admission to the Great Plains Zoo.

“Families really love this as a different activity to introduce kids to yoga but then spend part of a day exploring the zoo,” Youngberg said.

Register in the GreatLIFE app or by [email protected]. Remember to bring your own mat or towel!

And, don’t forget, GreatLIFE members, you save half off admission to the Great Plains Zoo every Monday, 25 percent off all other days, and 15 percent off annual memberships.
