Wild Water West returns for the season with new additions
May 24, 2023
Wild Water West is gearing up for a busy summer, complete with new additions to the park.
Opening day is scheduled for May 25, weather permitting, for the park at 26767 466th Ave., which has some new features and revamped classics for its 35th year in business.
The park is introducing a new bar, relocating the gift shop to the former bar location, and implementing various enhanced components to previous park features.
“We don’t have a name for the new bar yet, but we have a brand new logo going up on the side of the big building,” said Colter Quinn, director of aquatics and marketing. “We’re shooting for this weekend for most things to be ready to go.”
The park also is waiting for brand-new pool animals to arrive. Quinn said they should be installed shortly after they arrive.

Along with new features, Wild Water West is bringing back some old classics – such as “Cowabunga” concessions,” which sells ice cream and snacks such as popcorn and cotton candy. There also are new bumper boats and go-karts and a refreshed mini golf course.
Reservations at the Wild Water West campground opened on May 17 and “we’re already seeing reservations roll in,” Quinn said.

Wild Water West will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday and run until 8 p.m. through Labor Day Weekend.
