East-siders: Wendy’s is getting closer.

The restaurant is starting construction at Dawley Farm Village, with plans to open in mid-July.

The design also includes patio seating.

Wendy’s will be on land next to the shared First Bank & Trust and Coffea Roasterie building.

“I like the location because I think that’s an up-and-growing area,” franchisee Jim Taggart said in announcing the site late last year. “It was a really great site, and we wanted to be out there.”

The new location will be similar to the one at 12th Street and Lyons Avenue in design and size. It will be the third Wendy’s in Sioux Falls.
