The five candidates vying to become the next mayor of Sioux Falls will participate in the first major public forum of the campaign season tonight.

SiouxFalls.Business founder Jodi Schwan will moderate the forum, which begins at 7 p.m. and is organized by AARP and Downtown Sioux Falls Inc.

The focus is on issues of particular relevance to those organizations but also will include a broad look at the candidates and their visions for leading city government.

The mayoral election will be held June 2 in conjunction with statewide primary elections.
