“Culture” can become a buzzword, but it also can become a competitive advantage for businesses willing to invest in a strategic way. And there has never been a more important time to focus on it.

The upcoming Culture Cohort Panel Event from Keystone Group International will equip you with the information and inspiration you need to ensure this becomes the year your organization evolves culturally for its future.

“Culture has become something you, as an organization, cannot ignore. What we have been doing, traditionally, in leadership will not get us where we need to go,” said Rana DeBoer, Keystone’s chief impact officer.

“We need a new level of leadership, a human-centric leadership team that drives meaning and purpose in everyday work, that gives employees autonomy, mastery, purpose and a sense of belonging at work. It’s what employees want. They want a healthy relationship with their work, with their supervisor and with the organization they serve in. This helps to begin addressing the workforce issues we are facing – not all of it, but part of it.”

The Culture Cohort event will be Feb. 10 from 8:15 to 9:30 a.m. at Southeast Tech and will help define what culture really means – along with how to invest in it in ways that retain a healthy workforce and enhance business performance.

“Culture is something that organizations must focus on and do something about to be relevant to the changing needs of your team base and the ability to deliver on your mission/purpose effectively,” DeBoer said. “This will be time well invested to get you pointed in a positive direction.”

Panelists include:

  • Kira Kimball, Marsh McLennan Agency.
  • Joe Krizan, Omnitech Inc.
  • Tim McCarthy, Sioux Valley Energy.
  • Becky Word, Lloyd Cos.

“These panelists are successful leaders in our community that are doing culture well and are willing to share their approach and expertise on how to do culture well – including learning from mistakes,” DeBoer said. “It is a diverse panel with rich backgrounds, priorities, experience and wisdom in areas ranging from DEI to safety, technology and development.”

The event is suited for business leaders at all levels, from senior leaders to mid-managers, human resources staff, those who work in customer experience, operation managers and those supporting learning and organizational development.

“Culture is by design or default – you want design,” DeBoer said. “Culture is continuous people energy, so how are you intentionally fueling that energy? Come to this event to learn some secrets to it, to feel inspired and confident to tackle today’s workforce issues. Culture is more powerful than you can imagine. It drives individual health, business health and community health. There is social impact in this work, and now is the time to learn that and maximize it to create a win-win for everyone.”

Tickets are complimentary and available for in-person and virtual attendance.
