Uber licensed to operate in Sioux Falls
May 13, 2019
Uber has been given the go-ahead to start operating in Sioux Falls.
The ride-sharing service received its transportation company network license from the city Friday.
It previously had received its sales tax license from the state of South Dakota.
Uber hasn’t said when it plans to start operating in the city, but a representative told airport executive Dan Letellier recently it could be sometime this month.
Uber’s competitor Lyft began operating in Sioux Falls in late 2017.
