Two boutiques to close with owner’s retirement

Feb. 16, 2022

Two boutiques at The Bridges at 57th are closing as the owner is retiring.

Forget Me Not Boutique and Eddy Joy Baby Boutique are going out of business as owner Jody Kusek plans to retire.

Both stores are advertising 25 percent off storewide with all sales final. Gift certificates are still being accepted.

Final days in business were not announced yet.

Forget Me Not opened in 2008, and Eddy Joy opened in 2012.

Enjoy the poem Kusek wrote to announce her decision:

I started on this journey so many years ago,
And now it’s time to close these stores you‘ve come to know.
My grandkids are all calling my name,
My days will still be full but not the same.
I’ll go on hikes, picnics and dips in the lake,
And will cherish these memories that I will surely make.
I’ll have time to garden, travel, play bridge and book club,
And enjoy a lunch date or maybe the pub.
I am totally blessed to have met so many of you,
And have made some great friendships old and new.
I appreciate your business throughout the years
And understand if there’s a few tears.
I will miss these boutiques you’ve come to enjoy,
Farewell Forget Me Not and Eddy Joy!

The closing follows a recent new boutique opening at The Bridges. Dart Boutique relocated there after opening in Tea.

Boutique moves to Sioux Falls with focus on being ‘where fun meets chic’
