Tour Gear Center, hear from expert at biotech meeting

Tour USD’s new GMP facility and learn about new regulatory philosophy around GMPs, or good manufacturing practices, at the annual meeting of South Dakota Biotech.
The state affiliate of the international BIO organization will hold its annual meeting Oct. 30 beginning at 4:30 p.m. at the USD Gear Center, 4800 N. Career Ave.
Quality assurance consultant Linda Coombs will present new regulatory philosophy that includes GMPs, GCPs, or good clinical practices, and GLPs, or good laboratory practices.
“Linda Coombs is an outstanding resource for a huge range of industries that are advancing in our state,” said Joni Johnson, executive director of South Dakota Biotech. “This event is a valuable opportunity to learn updated information, see first-hand what’s happening inside the Gear Center and connect with others in our biotech community.”
A reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. following the Gear Center tour.
