The city of Sioux Falls is asking residents how they feel about elements of garbage service – including where containers are placed.

The growth of the city is robust enough the planning department needs more help — so a familiar face is returning.

Mayor: “I would describe this as a meat-and-potatoes budget. Nothing crazy.”

Sales and entertainment tax revenues are way up in Sioux Falls, but inflation is heading that way too.

There needs to be an asterisk next to these sales tax results – but they’re strong regardless.

The mayor is trying to instill a “mentoring mindset” in his organization and will discuss how others can too.

Get ready for another big downtown redevelopment project and some major road improvements ahead.

Sioux Falls will be seeing many new park projects, expanded roads and a long-awaited downtown ice ribbon.

With development occurring on every side of Sioux Falls, the city is attempting to bolster its funding for the roads to support that growth.
