Staffing shortage forces Starbucks to drive-thru only

A need for employees is forcing Starbucks to limit service at most locations to drive-thru only.

The shift applies to the corporately owned stores at:

  • 10th and Bahnson.
  • 13th and Minnesota.
  • 41st and Covell.
  • 41st and Louise.
  • 57th and Western.
  • 69th and Louise.

And it will apply to the new location at 41st Street and Sycamore Avenue, which an area manager said is scheduled to open Friday.

“We want to ensure all customers get a consistent and great experience,” manager Meghan Isle said in a Facebook post. “Our staff is doing everything they can to make sure we will open back up ready to serve you guys again.”

All stores are hiring and training to open at full capacity again, she said. The goal for that is the week of Oct. 10.

The change does not impact the Starbucks inside the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown.
