Sioux Falls Lincoln adding new dealership building
Jan. 9, 2025
Sioux Falls Lincoln will open its own standalone dealership building this year.
The new space is under construction near where the dealership currently operates alongside Sioux Falls Ford at 4901 W. 26th St.
Approaching 6,000 square feet, “it’s going to be stand-alone and have a distinctive luxury look,” dealer principal Ed Bloom said.

“We’re seeing significant growth opportunity. They’re coming to the table with a great product.”
Lincoln “has doubled down” on vehicle production, with a new Navigator coming this year that “will look super-sweet,” Bloom said. “It’s being refreshed and is going to be awesome. We’ve already pre-sold a couple 2025 models probably delivered in the spring time frame.”
The new building will be mostly show floor, with a double-wide service reception area to drop off cars. A dedicated staff for pickup and delivery will continue to bring vehicles to and from their owners as well.
“The goal is if the customer is in a hurry and just wants to drop off the vehicle, (we can) do the write-up and hand off the keys to the loaner, and they’re on their way,” Bloom said.
“If they want to take their time and shop or mingle with the staff, there’s going to be dedicated business work areas throughout, comfortable areas to sit and relax and do some work. It’s going to be very open, very bright, lots of glass and very comfortable for any guest that wants to stop by.”
It also will allow the dealership to become part of Lincoln’s “Black Label” program, “an even more exclusive vehicle that has a real luxury feel to it,” Bloom said. “There will be a Black Label for every single vehicle model, so that’s exciting.”
Bloom’s father-in-law, Randy Nehring, bought the Lincoln dealership in Sioux Falls from Dave Billion in the mid-1990s and moved it to 41st Street in front of The Empire Mall, where Sioux Falls Ford was located before moving to the Lake Lorraine area in 2017.
Lincoln has paired down its total number of stores nationwide from about 900 less than two years ago to a goal of being closer to 300.
“This forces dealers to really know the product and take care of the guest different and lead with customer service,” Bloom said. “I think it’ll be good for us and good for the brand around this area.”
The plan is to have the new building open by later this spring or early summer.
