Saving cursive leads to CNN appearance for Sioux Falls business owners

Aug. 7, 2018

Add cursive to a list of things disappearing in America, according to an upcoming CNN report.

A series hosted by Bill Weir will include a segment on handwriting that features Sioux Falls business owners Bobby and June George.

Producers stumbled on this article the couple wrote for The Atlantic and a campaign they put together called savingcursive.com to go along with the launch of their children’s app Intro to Cursive.

Apple featured it on its website with the tagline: “When the world writes off cursive, Montessorium builds an app dedicated solely to the art of handwriting.”

Weir was in Sioux Falls Monday and spent a few hours at the couple’s Baan Dek Montessori school.

“We had a fantastic time,” Bobby George said.
