Restaurant Roundup: All-you-can-eat chislic, new menus, temporary downtown closures

In addition to the regular menu, Chef Lance’s on Phillips is offering a three-course tasting menu for the month of May. A crab cake BLT slider is the starter, followed by a black and bleu filet and ultimate chocolate cake.

You now can enjoy pizza or lasagna outdoors. The new Sioux Falls Valentino’s near 41st Street and Ellis Road has added outdoor seating.

Stensland Family Farms has daily specials at its three retail stores. Sundae Monday: $1 off waffle bowl sundaes. Taco Tuesday: $6 ice cream tacos. Why Not Wednesday: Buy one single dip in a bowl, and get a free mini dip. Thirsty Thursday: $1 off Italian cream sodas or classic floats.

Humble Hill Winery in Garretson has opened for the season. Enjoy the spectacular views of the palisades, waterfalls, and parks while having a glass of wine in the tasting room, vineyard or patio. Click here to learn more.

Swamp Daddy’s Cajun Kitchen is closed for remodeling after a fire last week. There’s been no information on potential reopening, though crews have been working on both sides of the restaurant’s space inside the Jones421 building.

Also downtown, Fiero Pizza is closed for remodeling until May 23.

Renovations continue at the downtown Holiday Inn City Centre, so they’re carrying the theme through with a construction-inspired cocktail menu.

Pizza Ranch in Tea is back open after a renovation. Normal business hours are 10 a.m. to 1 0.m. Buffet hours are 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.

Harvester Kitchen by Bryan has started a new tasting menu: A Sojourn in Italy. Here’s a look at it, plus the Fazzoletti Di Seta with chicken, fava bean, lemon and oregano.

Fryers have arrived, which means an expanded menu at The Dive‘s new location inside Park Ridge Galleria. The menu will be updated soon, but fries are on it. This special is pulled pork on a hoagie with pickled red onions, smoky Texas BBQ sauce and candied jalapeño bacon jam.

Dinner and dancing, anyone? Tarquin Argentinian Restaurant says it plans to start offering Tango Bachata and Argentinian Cumbia lessons soon. Watch for more details.

Customers asked, and Coffea Roasterie answered. It’s now stocking grab-and-go bottles of popular Coffea iced drinks at the Louise Avenue location.

Every Monday night is all-you-can-eat chislic night at Crack’d Pot. From 5 to 8 p.m., chislic is served with the restaurant’s new crinkle-cut French fries, Texas toast, ranch or BBQ sauce and the salad bar. It’s unlimited for $15.99.

Let Me Be Frank has a new menu item: The German dog, served with sauerkraut and spicy brown mustard.

And finally, calling all cat lovers: The Cattitude Cafe is getting closer to opening in downtown Sioux Falls within the Johnson building and has started hiring.

The cafe is looking not just for cooks and baristas but for cat sitters to join the team. “Candidates should love Cats, have excellent customer service skills and work in a calming environment. Responsibilities include general care of all cats, changing of kitty litter and maintaining a clean and organized space for cats and guests,” it said.
