Remodeling work begins at Taco Bell on Louise, will lead to monthlong closure

July 7, 2021

A new look is coming to the Taco Bell on Louise Avenue just south of 41st Street.

The restaurant, which is owned by franchisee Border Foods, started a $600,000 remodeling project this week.

The lobby and dining room were closed off Tuesday, but the drive-thru remains open. The entire restaurant is expected to be closed Aug. 2-29.

“The scope will include a completely new lobby and bathrooms as well as a new exterior design, kitchen upgrades and digital menu boards inside and outside,” said Max Corrigan, an analytics and marketing manager at Border Foods, which is based in the Twin Cities.

The company owns five Taco Bells in Sioux Falls and most recently remodeled the West 12th Street site two years ago.
