One of the most-requested fast-food chains for Sioux Falls soon will be less than 90 minutes away.

Raising Cane’s opens Thursday in Sioux City.

The restaurant will be at 5800 Sunnybrook Drive, which is a newer development on the southeast side of the city. It’s off Highway 75 — close to Target, Hobby Lobby, Fleet Farm and Lowe’s Home Improvement.

Raising Canes is known for its fried chicken fingers and Cane’s Sauce.

Thursday’s grand opening will feature giveaways of free Cane’s for a year and a donation to the Sioux City Public Schools Foundation.

The restaurant will open daily at 10 a.m., closing at 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday nights.

Raising Canes was founded in 1996 in Louisiana and has more than 900 restaurants in 44 states — but not South Dakota.
