Project manager: Chick-fil-A to start construction next month

March 23, 2021

A project manager for the new Sioux Falls Chick-fil-A location said his crew plans to start construction on the restaurant in April.

Clinton Fraley, project manager at Kentucky-based Buffalo Construction Inc., posted on LinkedIn that his company will break ground in Sioux Falls in mid-April.

“Our team is extremely excited to help bring one of our biggest and best clients to South Dakota,” he said, adding this is one of more than 20 new locations Buffalo plans to complete for Chick-fil-A this year.

“This curb-in, pad-ready site should be a quick build as the walls will come prefabricated. Buffalo Construction Inc. will be using mostly local Sioux Falls vendor partners (subcontractors) to complete this project – looking forward to seeing everyone in Sioux Falls very soon.”

Chick-fil-A has said it plans a fall opening at Empire Place, where it will join Chipotle Mexican Grill, Chase Bank and other retailers in front of The Empire Mall.
