A Starbucks in south Sioux Falls has outgrown its home and is getting a larger one.

The coffee shop at 4808 S. Western Ave. will move to a new location that will be built along 57th Street west of Western Avenue.

“It’s always been an extremely successful location,” said Raquel Blount of Lloyd Cos., who represents Starbucks in Sioux Falls. “It’s worked phenomenally, but it’s been so busy they need to expand.”

The new store is scheduled to open next spring, and the current location will stay open until then.

The new location will offer the most current Starbucks prototype store and be built next to Year Round Brown, west of The Bridges at 57th development.

The owner of the property also has a 1.68-acre retail pad available next to Starbucks.

“This is a great opportunity for a retailer, restaurant or medical tenant looking to be part of a high-traffic area,” said Ryan Tysdal of Van Buskirk Cos., who is marketing the property. “We can do a build-to-suit for a tenant or a ground lease next to Starbucks.”

The Bridges continues to be a sought-after retail development almost 20 years after its inception, he added.

“Capitalizing on the traffic generated by all the successful retailers in the area creates a great opportunity new tenants along 57th Street.”
