Plum’s Cooking Co. will open a shop for Le Creuset products this week within its downtown store.

The cookware store at 8th & Railroad Center is one of six independent gourmet kitchen stores nationwide to receive a Le Creuset shop.

“Our relationship and quantity of sales helped secure us as the sixth location,” marketing manager Chloe Peter said.

“Everyone can expect brand-new products and colors and promotions exclusive to Plums. We are now carrying a more extensive inventory, more than ever before.”

The store has been rearranged to create the expanded Le Creuset area.

A grand opening Friday will include visits by a current and former Le Creuset representative as well as Plum’s founder Caroline Peterson. Peterson sold the store to Simply Perfect owner Penny Klinedinst in 2016.

The Le Creuset grand opening is from 6 to 8 p.m. at the store at 401 E. Eighth St. and will include food, wine and the chance to win prizes.
