Eide Bailly partner Aaron Clayton has been recognized by the American Institute of CPAs as one of five AICPA Outstanding Young CPA Award recipients. The annual award recognizes CPAs under age 41 who personify a commitment to the profession as demonstrated through successful practices and involvement in and contributions to the interest of the accounting profession. Clayton has been with Eide Bailly since 2004, helping clients in the health care, electric and telephone utility industries. He leads the financial audits and consulting activities for hospitals, senior living communities and rural health providers, as well as telephone and electric companies.

Dr. Nathan Skelley, an orthopedic surgeon at Sanford Health, has been selected by his peers to be the South Dakota representative for the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine council of delegates.

Stephanie Amiotte

Stephanie Amiotte has joined the ACLU as the new legal director for the South Dakota, North Dakota and Wyoming chapter. Amiotte, an enrolled member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe, comes to the ACLU with more than two decades of litigation experience in both civil lawsuits and federal indigent criminal defense, with an emphasis on constitutional law. She has represented clients in  federal and state courts in South Dakota, Georgia and North Carolina.

Architecture Incorporated has hired Zach Geier as a BIM technician. Geier received an associate degree in architectural engineering technology from Southeast Technical College.

First Premier Bank has promoted Rae Morlan to vice president, administration. Morlan has more than 30 years of professional experience and joined the bank in 2008.

Spencer Determan

Spencer Determan has been promoted to associate legal counsel at First Premier Bank and Premier Bankcard. Determan has eight years of experience in the financial industry. He joined Premier in 2014.

MetaBank

Christopher Soupal has been promoted to president of MetaBank’s commercial finance division. Soupal has more than 20 years of finance and capital management experience. He will lead all aspects of commercial finance, including the Crestmark and AFS/IBEX divisions. Soupal joined Crestmark in 2014 as national sales director of the newly formed government guaranteed lending group. He was promoted to president of that business unit in 2019; and in 2020, he was named head of the equipment finance, vendor finance and joint ventures business units, as well as renewable energy lending and product development. Before joining Crestmark, Soupal was managing director for a special opportunity fund that provided creative capital solutions in the form of debt or equity to platforms in niche industries.
